O’Gliss Park unleashes the power of Manakai, the world's first Spinfinity Splash Coaster

London, 22 September 2026 – O’Gliss Park and BoldMove Nation unveil 'Manakai – Typhoon Coaster' the world’s first Spinfinity Splash Coaster, during IAAPA Expo Europe in London. The attraction introduces a new shared family experience where coaster dynamics, controlled spinning, water experiences, special effects and theming come together in one complete adventure.

O’Gliss Park is France’s largest water park based in the Vendée region. Since opening in 2016, the water park has welcomed more than two million visitors, reaching a record 270,000 guests in 2025. Rather than pursuing scale for its own sake, the park is continuing to invest in distinctive experiences designed around families, immersion and strong storytelling.

Manakai will form the centrepiece of a wider development at O’Gliss Park and represents an important next chapter in the park’s evolution. It will become the anchor attraction of a new themed area and marks another step in the park’s ambition to evolve from a major water park into a fully immersive water destination. This unique family water roller coaster will feature a 465-metre track reaching heights of up to 19 metres, with vehicles that spin and create more excitement inside and outside the attraction. No airtimes, just endless fun for everyone through a smooth and social water experience.

New landmark at O'Gliss Park

The attraction is developed through a collaboration between O’Gliss Park and BoldMove Nation, who has been leading the creative concept, storytelling and ride design. Based on BoldMove's Spinfinity format, the attraction will be a world first for the water park industry, combining the excitement of a rollercoaster with the experience of a water attraction. The new spinning coaster is purposely built for all ages, fitting the story and theming with special water effects at well-considered areas.

The ride will culminate in a splashdown through a pool, creating a wave designed to soak both riders and spectators. Each vehicle will accommodate four passengers, with a total capacity of 1,000 guests per hour and two vehicles dispatched at each departure.

Designed to be shared

At the heart of Manakai is BoldMove Nation’s Spinfinity Splash Coaster, designed from the outset around the social side of the ride experience. What makes it unique is that it is not an upscale of a kiddy coaster nor a downscale of a thrill coaster but truly zero-designed as a dedicated family experience.

Its vehicles place guests face-to-face, allowing families and friends to see and react to each other throughout the journey. Controlled rotations add an element of surprise while keeping the movements smooth and accessible to a broad audience.

Rather than simply placing a coaster inside a water park, the attraction integrates water into the experience itself. The track combines dynamic coaster sections with carefully orchestrated rotations and water effects, creating changing sensations and interactions throughout the ride.

Manakai immerses visitors in themed universe

Contrary to many other coasters Manakai does not need to be closed off but runs across the area so visitors can walk under, around and across the attraction. The experience of Manakai starts well before guests board the vehicle with a distinctive design that appeals before entering the queue line. Inspired by the power and mystery of the ocean, Manakai will introduce visitors to its own aquatic island universe. The queue, station, vehicles, landscapes, water effects and ride experience are being developed as parts of one coherent story.

This approach reflects BoldMove Nation’s philosophy of bringing creative design, storytelling and ride technology together from the earliest stages of development, rather than treating them as separate layers added to an attraction after its installation.
